TEST 1: FAMILYSYNC

  1. Upload your main tree.
    Troubleshooting: If upload fails, try a smaller tree.

  2. Make changes and SYNC.
    - Make changes in your FTM main tree or Ancestry tree as usual.
    - Initiate Sync.
    Troubleshooting: If sync fails, upload a smaller tree and try again.

  3. Download your main tree.
    Troubleshooting: If download fails, try again. If it fails again, stop.

  4. Enter Results in Report Form.

TEST 2: FURTHER TESTING (Optional)
If you have time to do further testing, please feel free to explore new features. If you find any issues which you believe should be fixed before release log them in the bug tracker:

WHAT TO LOOK FOR

In addition to working with the beta product as you usually do in daily use, please try the following:

  1. Sync with an Ancestry tree.

  2. Create an Antenna tree.

  3. Use the new Connect workspace to invite guests and get Relative Hint sticky notes from them.
IMPORTANT – TESTING CONNECT WORKSPACE

You should start by adding one of your real email addresses to your guest list, so you will be able to invite yourself as a guest, create a free guest account, check how invitations work and receive Relative Hint sticky notes from yourself into FTM 2024. Then, if you wish, you can invite actual relatives, and if you do, please let them know you are an official tester for Family Tree Maker, and ask them to please keep confidential what they see while helping you test, sharing their results only with you.
