Software MacKiev's websites (,,,,,, and and email messages may use cookies, web beacons, or pixel tags to help us provide you with the best experience we can. This policy explains what cookies are, how we use them, the different types of cookies, and how you can change your cookie settings.

What cookies are and how we use them

"Cookies" are small text files that are downloaded to your computer or mobile device when you visit certain pages on our websites or open HTML-formatted emails, in order to make them work, or to make them work more efficiently.

We may use cookies, web beacons, or pixel tags on our websites or in our emails to, among other things:

  • Remember information you enter about yourself in certain web forms so you don’t have to enter it again the next time you visit our websites.
  • Keep track of items stored in your shopping cart in our Web Store.
  • Collect statistics about your website usage to help us understand how you are using our services so we can make them better.
  • Provide us with information that allows us to measure the effectiveness of our promotions and improve them.

Cookies can be "persistent" (they remain stored on your device in between browser sessions) or "session" (they expire and are erased at the end of your browser session).

Types of cookies we use

We use both session and persistent cookies, and we use different types of cookies:

  • Strictly Necessary: These allow our websites to work correctly and provide you with the services you expect, like correct navigation around web pages, or use of the online shopping cart. They also help us identify irregular site behavior, prevent suspicious activity and improve security. Without these cookies, our websites may not function properly.
  • Preferences: These cookies allow our websites to remember information about you so that you don’t have to enter it again and again. Loss of the information stored in these types of cookies may affect your website experience but will not prevent the websites from working.
  • Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics cookies to understand how our websites perform, how you use them, and to monitor traffic on them. You can learn more about Google’s Privacy Policy here.

Use of tracking technologies in our emails

Some of our emails contain a "web beacon" or a "pixel tag" (also known as a "clear gif"), which we may use to find out when and how many times our emails were opened and see what links you clicked through in those emails. We use this information to learn which emails are of most interest to you. The web beacons do not carry any personally identifiable information and will be deleted when you delete the email. If you do not want them to be downloaded onto your computer or device, you may specify that you want to receive emails from us in plain text in your email provider settings.

Do-Not-Track is a privacy preference that you can set in some web browsers. At this time we do not recognize or respond to the Do-Not-Track signals from your browser.

Your choices regarding cookies

Before collecting and storing any personal information we get through the use of cookies, we first notify you and obtain your consent. Most desktop and mobile device web browsers are set to automatically accept cookies by default. However, you can change your settings and choose to disable them at any time.

Please note that if you delete cookies or decline to accept them, you might not be able to use all of the website features or services, and some of our web pages might not display properly.

If you'd like to delete cookies, or have your web browser notify you when you receive a new cookie, or set the browser to refuse cookies, please visit the help pages of the browser you are using. You can usually find the cookie settings in the Options or Preferences menu of your browser.

You can click the links here to find out how to manage cookies in Safari for desktop and for iOS, in Chrome, in Firefox, and in Microsoft Edge.
